I’m Mark, I’ve been working as a celebrant / minister for over ten years, helping families and individuals through the loss of family and friends. Dealing with the death of a loved one – the sense of loss, missing someone you loved and knew, shared life with, enjoyed the good times and stood through the difficult times with, can be tough.
The bereavement journey is personal to everyone who has experienced it. People who have gone through it say there are no easy words or strategies to make the loss disappear. However, celebrating that person’s life, capturing who they were, remembering the memories that were built can be a starting point and a service of celebration.
Having worked in a pastoral role the last 30 years I have met people from many different walks of life. I instinctively offer a listening ear, counsel and insight. In more recent years, I have undertaken training in life coaching; developing listening and questioning skills outside of a pastoral environment that complement my work as a Celebrant.
Remembering, thanking and celebrating a life lived, is where I support you. I will help craft a service that is tailored to your wishes, offering advice and suggestions where needed. The service can be non-religious, or with a ‘light touch’ of religion / spirituality. Together, I help you to remember, honour and mark the life that has been lived.
