Lorraine Chappell
Funeral Celebrant
Hello, I’m Lorraine. I’m a fully qualified independent celebrant.
I believe every life deserves to be remembered with dignity, respect and heartfelt care. I’m empathetic, a great listener and will walk beside you with patience and respect as we honour your loved one’s life in a way that feels right for you at this vulnerable time.
Whether you’re seeking a traditional, spiritual or a non religious celebration of life, I will bring warmth and creativity to every detail to craft a ceremony to honour the life of your loved one with your vision at the heart.
Whilst a funeral is often a time of grief, I believe it is also a time of celebration and happiness and together we will make your ceremony an occasion to cherish and remember.
I’m completely aware that having to plan a funeral will be an overwhelming task at this upsetting time, but I promise to be there for you, to listen and guide you through this next stage with compassion, grace and empathy.
A bit about me…
I grew up in Twickenham and I now live in Molesey, Surrey with my husband and two children. I run Mini Molesey Theatre Club and Molesing Ladies choir in my area.
Prior to becoming a celebrant, I performed as a singer and actress in the West End for over 25 years. Becoming a celebrant was the most natural transition and ‘found me’ after I performed a ceremony for a friends wedding.
It is such a privilege and honour to be asked to be involved in these major life events. Performing has always been a part of my life and as a professional singer, I can also offer this as a service should you wish to incorporate some live music to reflect your ceremony.
