They made our recent bereavement so much easier to handle with their professionalism, creativity and appropriately pitched sympathy. They're a refreshing break from the glum business of the old-fashioned undertaker, providing a personalised and progressive way to respect and say goodbye to a loved one. From the first conversation, they treated our dad, and us, as individuals, helping us shape a send-off that felt genuinely his: modern, personal, warm, and free of any unnecessary fuss. Their care went well beyond the funeral itself, checking in on us, and handling the practical side of things with a gentleness that took so much weight off our shoulders. My sister and I still can't thank them enough. Having also been looked after by them when looking after my mother-in-law, I honestly can’t recommend White Rose Funerals enough. My mother passed away on the 17th of July 2026, and from the very first minute, the team supported us with incredible compassion, clarity, and professionalism. Unlike large, inflated companies that force you into rigid, off-the-shelf packages, everything here was tailored entirely to our wishes. Every single request was met with kindness and care. They were always two steps ahead—guiding us through every detail before questions even had a chance to arise. We were provided with a clear, step-by-step plan, virtually minute-by-minute, giving us complete peace of mind when we needed it most. They were incredibly patient with us, this was a complex family situation and they handled it so well. I highly recommend them. We said what our budget was and we came in on budget. There were no hidden costs. They were so kind, so helpful and attentive. They went out of their way to make the whole collection of Mums body, the preparation of the funeral, the printing of the service sheets, the flowers (stunning from Rose and Mary) and the smooth running of the day possible and perfect. They treated Mum with the utmost respect and all the family with genuine compassion. Thanks White Rose.Posted on TrustindexKenneth A354 days agoLook No Further Most Funeral Directors are willing to talk at length about the services they offer, so what makes White Rose different? They don’t talk very much at all: instead they listen very loudly to what you have to say about what you want for your loved one. My daughter and I visited them at their premises in Twickenham to discuss the possibility of them arranging the funeral for my wife and her mother. We left two hours later, not because that was the time that had been allotted but because we all felt that an understanding had been reached about what was needed and how it could be provided. They suggested a possible celebrant they could recommend, and we and a close friend spent around a further two hours on a later occasion, talking to her. In the light of that discussion, she produced a written first draft and that was modified through emails over a number of days until we all felt happy with it. My wife had left very specific instructions in her will about what she did and did not want to feature in her funeral. It was a sentiment we all shared and it was exactly what White Rose were happy to provide. We were all very pleasantly surprised that they could supply such a relatively personalised service for such a relatively modest cost. If you’re looking for the funeral you would like it to be, rather than the one the undertakers want to provide and sell to you, our advice is simple: go to White Rose. I’m sure that, just as we did, you’ll come away entirely reassured about the preparations and delighted with the outcome. We’d recommend their services without even the slightest reservation.Posted on TrustindexAlison W376 days agoAn uplifting day given the circumstances From the moment I had to call White Rose to discuss funeral arrangements for my husband Christopher, they were calm , kind and reassuring in every way . The communication with the team was excellent , and at all times my questions were answered . We as a family opted to have the private cremation service first , just to be attended by direct family. This was followed by a short 2 hour break , and then the Celebration of Christophers's life service was held in the local church and was as uplifting as possible given the circumstances . Many people commentated on how seamless and calm the day was , and I can only thank White Rose and the liason which took place between Father David at St Mary and St Alban . The White Rose team helped me clarify my ideas on what sort of funeral I wanted them to provide. They were quietly efficient in getting everything together on time with tech back up from Nick to produce a wonderful invitation, dedicated webpage and slide show. On the day Rob put the family pall bearers at their ease and gave them the confidence to carry the coffin on their shoulders. White Rose worked as a team so no matter who I called the person answering was able to take action or advise me. The whole White Rose team were absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process of arranging my Brother's funeral recently. From our very first meeting, through to the funeral itself and afterwards, the team were brilliant - they were professional, sensitive, supportive, helpful, highly responsive (even out of hours) and worked with me to make it a beautiful, perfect fitting farewell for an extraordinary person. Nothing was a problem and there was always great attention to detail. To that end I would also highly recommend their trusted local florist Rose& Mary whose flowers were just perfect. White Rose and I maintained regular, clear and timely communication throughout with any necessary paperwork simple to complete. I chose not to use a celebrant but Sabrina was an outstanding 'master of ceremonies' on the day introducing the various personal, photo and musical tributes to celebrate my Brother's life and ensuring along with Nick and the whole White Rose team that everything went totally smoothly as planned. I can't praise them highly enough for their empathy, professionalism, kindness, support and nothing is too much bother attitude. Thank you - would highly recommend them.Posted on TrustindexPaula S539 days agoDifferent from all the rest White Rose Funerals are wonderful, kind and helpful people who helped us negotiate saying goodbye to our husband and father. He was not at all religious, but we couldn’t just send him off on his own, so Sabrina helped us to have some time with him at Kingston Crematorium, listening to some of his favourite music. She arranged some personal mementos of leaves, pine cones and petals collected for him when he was too ill to go out, together with cards from us all with messages of love, that he had kept. No celebrant, just close family gathered around his coffin. It was deeply personal and intensely moving. Thank you Sabrina, we will never forget you. We were looking for a non traditional, family led funeral for our 23 year old son Ethan and White Rose were able to provide that for us - supporting us and keeping us informed every step of the way. All our requests were met with sympathy and understanding - they went above and beyond. We held the service at Greenacres near Beaconsfield, which I highly recommend, if you want a peaceful setting. There is not the conveyor belt approach which you can sometimes get at a crematorium. We had the place to ourselves so were able to spend 2 hours talking about Ethan and sharing memories. We had a wide range of age ranges attend the service - some of them attending a funeral for the first time - and everyone said how comforting they found it. Nick and Jacqui brought the flowers, photos to Greenacres and then took them on to the hotel for us. They ensure that everything ran smoothly so that we could concentrate on leading the service for Ethan. In conjunction with Clandon Woods Natural burial grounds and their recommended Celebrant, Sarah, who went to considerable lengths to make sure Mum’s funeral was a true celebration of a life well lived. Without the constraints of a church service or a factory line cremation experience - Clandon Woods only have one funeral per day so there is no time pressure and everyone involved was therefore totally committed to making sure our service and burial for Mum was a memorable experience. Nick and Jacqui were not ‘out of the office’ when I called them, sobbing, in the early hours of the morning. I felt as if they were beside me from that moment, right until the final flower was placed at the graveside. They arrived, quietly and sensitively, treating my mother with respect and tenderness. I knew she was in good hands. With complex negotiations, a burial out of the area and multiple unusual requests, to adhere to the family’s wishes, everything was seamless and nothing felt like too much trouble.
